The e-mail, SMS, and e-mail digest, Instant Notification Functions for new Craigslist Posts

New post notifications are sent through the search result screen. You can enable/disable these functions anytime you need them for any particular search.

• SMS Checkbox – use this function to receive SMS notifications of new search results. (Note: this function will be grayed out until you setup your phone number and network carrier)

• e-mail Checkbox – use this function to receive email notification of new search results

• Digest Checkbox - default function enabled to send daily email notifications about new search results as a list. You can set the digest settings and notification preferences under Portable Screen>Tools>Settings

To setup both your phone and email clients go to: Portable Screen>File>My CraigsPal Account.

In order to receive notifications, you must have CraigsPal© running. The SMS and e-mail notification functions send a message every time a new post appears, while the e-mail digest function sends all new results as a list, by default, once a day. In order to change the e-mail digest function (to specify when you want it to deliver new posts, or to turn it off) go to: Portable Screen >Tools>Settings.

Troubleshooting Tip: If you’re not receiving notifications, please check your settings, and see whether you’ve spelled everything correctly (cASE sENSITIVE). Another issue we’ve found is that clients using MSN or Hotmail have had some problems with notification delivery, so we suggest using Gmail and other mail servers. Some other reasons for non-delivery might be: your ISP, or your Anti-Virus/Firewall software is blocking notification deliveries.
