Craigslist search results screen in CraigsPal©

The search result screen is a listing of all the result hits which match your preference manipulation within the Search Criteria and Choose Search Locations screens. In the top left corner of the search result screen is another checkbox, Keep Old Results, and is there in case you want to discard all the pervious search results for the saved search you were doing. For example, let’s say you want to add another keyword or change a search location to the current search. If you uncheck the Keep Old Results checkbox, and then hit the Start Search button, the new search results screen will erase all the pervious search results, and display only new hits matching your new preferences. Conversely, if you leave the Keep Old Results box check-marked, the search results screen will then display both the old search results and display the new hits highlighted in yellow for easier comparison.

Next to the Keep Old Results checkbox, there are a few more buttons and checkmarks which enable you to more effectively and productively utilize CraigsPal©:

Start Search (binoculars icon) - runs the search to gather the new search results
Stop Search (clock icon) - stops the running search
Add to Favorites (page icon) - when a search result/post is highlighted, clicking this icon will save it to your favorites folder where you can store all your best results for further preview.
SMS Checkbox – use this function to receive SMS notifications of new search results. (Note: this function will be grayed out until you setup your phone number and network carrier under Portable Screen>File>My CraigsPal account
e-mail Checkbox – use this function to receive email notification of new search results
Digest Checkbox - default function enabled to send daily email notifications about new search results as a list. You can set the digest settings and notification preferences under Portable Screen>Tools>Settings

Within the actual search result screen there is a row of buttons which allow you to set preferences for displaying the hits:

Down Arrow – opens a pop-up list with self explanatory options and shortcut keys
Image – the text in this column shows whether the post includes an image or not (img = Yes ; “-“ = No)
Date – used to sort the search results in ascending or descending order by date
Post – lists the Craigslist post by name
Price – used to sort the search results in ascending or descending order by price
Location – used to sort the search results by location in ascending or descending alphabetical order

Clicking the left facing arrow, located on the left hand side of the search results screen, expands the search results screen by removing the search criteria window pane. Clicking the arrow again will reintroduce the search criteria window.

Checking the Show Preview box will expand the search results screen (headers only), and minimize the browser screen. Any resizing and modification of the search results screen will automatically be remembered for that saved search.

Yet another time-saving tool offered by CraigsPal©, are the keyboard shortcuts, which allow you to modify your search results, start or stop a new search, or just provide ease of use while browsing all your hits:

A - up one post,
Z - down one post (Note: when utilizing the A and Z keyboard shortcuts, the posts will automatically load in the Craig Pal© browser screen.)
Ctrl+F - add to favorites
Ctrl+R - flag as a spam
Ctrl+Shift+R - flag multiple (check-marked) as a spam
Ctrl+Delete - delete search result
